some of the tips are not as good as some think. one of them say drink as much as you can, water yes but ya'll not say what to drink. the face mask of being wet is a very good idea and that does work. I am used to very hot heat and wild fires here every year. If a person smells the smoke coming from out and know the fire is far away but the wind carries the smoke in tho the home it is a very bad idea to keep windows closed because the air inside gets very bad comepared to outside and it klls people.... so anyone can take a wet thin cloth or a bed sheet or a shirt and make wet to cover window and it will help cool down inside and help keep smoke out but it must stay wet to work. If doing things that heat you up wet your clothes and keep going the water in your clothes will help keep a person healthy from the heat. do not sleep as many hours at one time in the heat for it will make a person sick or more tired than before they went to bed, no more than 4 hours at one time then get up and drink water that is clean and cold if you can, get up and walk around home to make sure things are ok and if window is open and the cloth has dried out water it again before you sleep. this will help most people sleep better and be able to work better in the morning. take more cold to cool baths or showers every day or night and take many do not use much hot water or you will know it fast when you think it is too hot now after taking a hot bath a cool bath is better in the heat i have many more ideas but i need to sleep now so i can work soon. be safe drink cool clean water and make sure you do not over heat yourself

This smoke doesn't bother me at all. Got good photos of it, though. I agree with a radio DJ, "give it a month of this and we'll all be used to it". I am already at this point. )) Heat is the only thing that bothers me, I just take a few showers to cool off. The people who are ill and those who are old are the ones to worry about.
