Exhibition of paper art opened in Moscow

An unusual exhibition called “Paper Shapes” has opened at the Darwin museum in Moscow. The author of the collection, Korean artist Im Son Mee, believes everything can be made out of paper.
There are many different styles of paper art. One is called Handi Girim. It may look like water colours, but in fact its all made of paper. Another one is called “crystal flowers”. Im Son Mee is a master in almost all of them.Apart from well-known origami and paper-mache masks, there's a long history of paper art, which is very popular in the East. Still, it is more than a hobby for Im Son Mee, who has a university degree in this kind of art.Im Son Mee has been living in Russia, where there's no such tradition or even suitable paper, and giving master-classes for the last five years.She believes the art is available for anyone who looks for the new and unusual.All you need is patience and curiosity and nimble hands.
