Ex-vocalist of the British band Morcheeba, Skye Edwards, is giving a concert in Moscow as part of the NuNote Lounge Fest. The second concert of the festival will be held in “Hermitage” Garden on August 15.
Skye was the lead singer of the British band Morcheeba, and won popularity with the four studio albums she recorded with the band.
Since 2003, she has been busy with a solo career which has appeared no less-successful than her work with Morcheeba. Her song “Love Show”, from the first solo album released in 2006, immediately became a radio-hit and was used as a soundtrack to a popular TV-series.
Skye, the stage name of the singer, is an acronym of her real full name. She decided to shorten her name by taking the first letter of each of her names, Shirley Klarisse Yonavive Edwards, and putting them together.
Skye’s performance is the second concert of the lounge-music festival in Moscow. The last concert of the musical marathon will be held in the same place two weeks later. Nouvelle Vague will be the next to act in front of lounge-music lovers on August 29.
