German performer Lena has won the ears and hearts of Europe with her song "Satellite," stealing most of the votes and beating 24 other finalists at the Eurovision song contest final in the Norwegian capital of Oslo.
Second place went to Turkey, and Romania came in third.
All in all, representatives from 25 countries competed for the coveted award.
Russia was represented by YouTube sensation Peter Nalitch, but it seems his song "Lost and Forgotten" lived up to its name, finishing just 11th.
Organizers of the competition in Oslo were under extreme pressure to outdo the Moscow event last year, which became the largest ever, with 450 tons of equipment used in the performance. Some 125 million viewers tuned in as well, turning it into the world's biggest non-sporting live TV event.
Norway's main broadcaster NRK is reported to have spent $30 million on the show, which, when it was hosted in Moscow last year, cost $43 million and used 30% of the world's entire stock of LED screens.
Next year's Eurovision contest will now be held in Germany.

"Middle Eastern" nations are allowed to take part as membership of the EBU is what allows entry, not geographical precision. Morocco, Lebanon and Tunisia have all participated in the past. The Norwegians didn't look under too much pressure too me. The show was presented with a nice touch of humour and self-deprecation, something a lot of other countries could learn from ...
Politico-vision, that is what they should name this musical circus. There were a lot of good talents with vocals and so forth, but this whole organization of Eurovision is a joke. And yes, why is Middle Eastern nations in Eurovision? Since it is an obvious political fiasco, did Germany win because they're seen as the bank of Europe? Lena wasn't bad singer though...

Because all songs of this "vision" were crap, I think she was the right winner.. But dont forget - her father i a bilderberger !
