Eros Exposed

“Love and Eros in Ancient Culture” -  vases, sculptures and other obejcts d'art of ancient times. Such is the title of an exhibition which has just opened in Moscow's State History Museum.

The items represent collections of different museums, including from Saint Petersburg and Berlin. Many of these items them have never been “exposed” to the public before.  

The exhibition's organisers say that to display objects of art depicting erotic themes has been quite a challenge. But they believe this is a very interesting and important part of the ancient Greek culture which is often called a “Hymn to Love.”
