Adam Lambert

Today, the American entertainment industry no longer sets the standards in cultural excellence; it mindlessly follows the stench of trash like desperate pack rats.

Get over it. There is a difference between 2 people voting 10,000 times each versus 100 people voting once each. Who has the more fans?

Whoever wrote this piece of dung article must have bipolar disorder or something. One minute the "author" takes a shot at Idol, and on the other mentions you have to be sleeping under a rock to miss Adam. Well, the author may be a loser, but Adam is the big winner - let's see, what other honour can he score? How about a Rolling Stone cover? Ooops! Already has!

...Except that this has happened before, an American Idol (loser) on the cover of Rolling Stone, way back in Season 2. Where were you that year? It's hardly the apocalypse. Why talk about what a joke and disgrace this is, anyway, when clearly you've taken the time to read some of the material yourself and spent all of this effort to selectively deconstruct what he said? That's lamer than anything you're saying he's done.

Oh. You're forgetting - no one matches Adam Lambert's vocals, which is the MAIN reason this gorgeous human being earned an RS cover.

LOL. That, by a long shot, was the snarkiest and most bitter blog entry I have read so far on Adam -- like, Robert, the writer, is trying to summon the entire bitchy quotient of every drunk drag queen in the US on a Saturday night! Really, LOL. Oh yeah, it appears that Robert has been sleeping under a slab of journalistic marble because he clearly doesn't get the current "state of the state" of the pop music business. All this pining away for yesterday.... people "who earned their celebrity..." Again, LOL. Uh, Robert, do you know what that stands for? Google it, if you know how...

You have no idea what your're talking about- this article is trash. Adam Lambert is on the cover because he has ignited music fans like no other in the past decades. His talent is supersonic- and will be a role model to millions around the world. Adam has touched me like no other artist in my life- and I resent everything you said in your article.

Robert, I am guessing you have been under a rock for the past two months if your view is that Adam Lambert is not deservant to grace RS? Or I suppose you need to justify your position by knowing the general public will respond to your garbage peice you have written and you need hits. You are pathetic and narrow minded. I am also taking a wild guess that you are an avid Kris Allen fan. It is journalists or whatever you may be, I have never heard of this Russian website ever. Most professionals do not degrade people or contestants Robert, just a heads up . Perhaps you should go back to the rock you crawled from and try to come up with a better plan for media attention. And guess what Robert, Kris is not on RS because he is predictable and boring. Where Adam is electric and RS has been around for years, they are a smart corporation they know what they are doing. Speaking of cockaroaches, look in the mirron Robert and get a new job, you obviosuly do not know what you are doing. This webiste is so slow probably Natasha & Boris run it. How cleaver!

Whoa. You sure are a downer. Whatever, this 50-yr old Mom thinks Adam is awesome. He's got the singing chops AND he's gorgeous to look at. I'll be buying the magazine.

Your article should hold at least a touch of the interest or talent that Adam Lambert possesses. Besides, who still buys Rolling Stone magazine?

Not big news? Done a Google search lately? 18,000,000 links for a guy nobody had heard about until about three months ago. You watch. Rolling Stone will be flying off the shelves because it gave America what it wants. More Adam Lambert!

You're entitled to your opinion, but it is just that--one person's opinion of a man (yes, he is a man no matter what his sexual preference may be) who has captured the attention and admiration of countless people. The why of it is seemingly unimportant at this point in his journey. Even though you obviously don't share the collective "AHHH" about Adam, he managed to yank your chain and pull you in anyway, didn't he? Enough said...

This reviewer is sad. Four words: David Cook & Carrie Underwood. HUGE HUGE HUGE fan followings. Adam Lambert is smart and he enertainment industry IS changing. The stage has alrady been set by the AI producers, that was their intent. Tell 20 million that they are wrong. Not gonna happen. People like what they like and makes them happy to watch thie IDOLS.

Um, bitter, table for one! I'd say you have a problem with California, liberals, homosexuals, "alternative lifestyles" (weak communicators use code and that's code) true talent and life in general. Are you seriously going trying to tell us that Britney Spears worked harder and has more talent than Mr. Lambert? Seriously? My guess is that you didn't watch the show and didn't see Adam pour his heart and soul into each performance and work his considerable talent. As a former singer I can tell you that Mr. Lambert has worked very hard to make his given talent that much better. Maybe you should aplply the same work ethic to your observational and writing skills? Man, you're totally off-base here.

Jo June 11, 2009, 16:44 quote

So... this is arguing the point that a person should be pressured into hiding their sexuality, or more specifically, their homosexuality (a la Cary Grant)? I can't agree that. I think we are currently paving the way for a new and improved American culture since Grant's time, thankfully. Perhaps Americans may be getting over their puritan sex issues. Have you heard/seen Adam Lambert perform? He's actually quite outstanding. A potential diamond in the rough of today's music scene.

Wow. "Stench of trash"??? Whatever you're artistic inclinations, you would have to be deaf, dumb and blind not to see that Adam Lambert will be a worldwide sensation --- yes, perhaps even in Russia! Maybe that's why this story got 1 star. Open your ears, eyes and mind to real talent. Rolling Stone knows what it's doing. And clearly, you do not.

I disagree. Adam Lambert DID earn his spot on the cover of Rolling Stone. Whether you like American Idol or not (this is the first season I watched extensively myself), you CANNOT deny the way Adam Lambert busted his ass night in and night out to give his best performances and entertain and satisfy the crowds. All Adam wants is for his sexuality to NOT get in the way of his success, and that people don't look at him differently for it. He even said that he's a singer, and not a civil right's leader. American Idol is a chance for undiscovered artists to make a mark. Adam (and Kris) did just that. Rolling Stone acknowledges artists who have talent, regardless of how long they've been in the game. If the talent is there, you're in. Age and time are nothing but numbers; it's how they're managed that counts. Adam is young, but is so in charge of his talent. He is a one-of-a-kind with a gift of music. So what if he's gay? Him being gay has absolutely nothing to do with his talent. He knows that. He also understands how much sexuality is emphasized in this society, and that's why he addressed his sexuality in RS. His sexuality is NOT the key to his success; his TALENT IS. He''l be a BIG success and make a real impact on the entertainment industry, and I wish him the best of luck in all his future endeavors.

Wow! You must really hate Adam Lambert! Cant you just feel happy for someone who's different and trying to make it in the entertainment industry. I have friends like Adam who are struggling to be noticed there and totally understand where he's coming from. You by the way with your weird appearence could make it on the cover of the Archie comics!!

chris June 11, 2009, 16:58 quote

totally disagree with you... RS with Lambert on cover is sold out everywhere... you think it is only because people want to know Adam is a gay? Nonsense! People care less only shameless media. It is smart for Adam to clear this officially once and for all so the media won't ask the stupid question over and over again in each interview. He is a such attractive and adorable and talented guy. He can sing and perform like nobody did these days, that is all entertainment about. People reward him by supporting him for bing a great entertainer he has been on AI. And we believe he will continue shine for long time to come. Rolling Stone made the right choice riding with this superstar from beginning of his journey. this issue of RS becomes a collector item as I see people are buying multi-copies of RS, frame it, and this mag is on ebay already. Tell me who else has created this kind of excitement these days? There is no single rules how superstar should come out. Adam has his own way of gaining people's hearts. His loyal fans like me will follow him all the way. Sky is the limit. For haters, I know there is no way to shut you up, but the selling # of magazine and his CDs and concerts will show the world he is a mega star and we love him and support him for who he is.
