A festival dedicated to salo, Ukraine's most popular delicacy, was held in Ukraine’s western town of Lutsk. Salo is basically pork fat, or bacon without meet.
Ukrainians consume salo with bread or as part of a traditional platter of small dishes to accompany a drink.
The highlight of the festival in Lutsk was a giant sandwich made from salo.
At 73 metres long, the sandwich received the award as the longest pork fat sandwich ever made.
Many Ukrainians believe salo is good for them.
They say amino acids, contained in the salo, help burn the fat and keep them slim.
