An extraordinary exhibition of doors called “Entrance-Exit” has opened at Moscow's art-centre 'Winzavod', all items being made between the 19th and 20th centuries. Twenty doors from private collections are on display.
Most exhibits are decorated with exotic animals. The curator says this primitive form of creativity was an inspiration for famous artists like Kazimir Malevich and Vasily Kandinsky, who were impressed by the unusual art during their journeys through several small Russian towns.
