Every year an historic manor house in Moscow hosts exhibitions of one-of-a-kind toys and dolls. The showcase is traditionally dedicated to the upcoming New Year festivities.
Toys may appear to be conventional items but artists always find room for a fresh look. For example, one of the artists used paintings by avant-garde artists such as Kandinskiy and Picasso as a source of inspiration. The other part of the exhibition highlights conventional New Year characters such as nutcrackers and teddy bears. According to the Chinese lunar calendar 2007 is the year of the pig. So the show wouldn't have being complete without these creatures.
