The Defense Ministry has failed to meet the deadline for state arms orders placed in 2011, says the deputy prime minister, Dmitry Rogozin.

In 2011, there were failures to fulfil contractual obligations under 84 contracts. The non-fulfilment had run to a total of about 42 million roubles.

"The failure to fulfil obligations was caused mainly by poor organization, a low level of equipment, a low quality of output supplied, and a shortage of qualified personnel," Rogozin pointed out.

In order to prevent such shortcomings in the future, the ministry is planning to submit new regulations concerning military acceptance at enterprises before March 1.

Rogozin also promised to review the fulfilment of the state defense order on a weekly basis.

“The state defense order currently needs manual control to avoid the recurrence of the 2011 problems,” he said.

Those Corrupt criminals!!!! The Defense ministry is corrupt and any other reason is just an excuse and not true. This is outrageous, those criminals must be put into their place, Russia can't have anymore corrupt organizations. These are the kind of people that don't give a care in the world about Russia and only care about themselves and their wallets. They should be executed, or be sent to a Guantanamo bay type prison in Siberia made specifically for these kind of criminals. After all Corruption is a scary thing and these are the worst type of people Russia can have in charge of a vital organ of the country, these people can't call themselves Russians, they are enemies of the state!!! They are terrorists themselves!!! The whole defense industry is suffering immensely because of it. It seems like everything they do is wrong, starting with making the armed forces smaller, to purchasing and constructing foreign Iveco armored vehicles and ignoring our Tiger Armored vehicles, THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS, SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING!!!
