Some of the futurists predict the only liveable places will be under domes. I don't know any country that could afford to make them except Russia and China. :)

Record cold in the southern hemisphere for the last 4 months. Mass fish river kills at the equator due to cold in Ecuador & Peru, snow in Buenos Aries, and record cold Australia. New Zealand just reports today record blizzards for 6 days with mass killing of hundreds of thousands in sheep herds. Global warming is a fraud. 350 million years ago the CO2 atmospheric was 3500-5000 ppm - today is only 386 ppm. It was not called the Carboniferous period for nothing. Moreover, in 1989 activists removed 75% of the 6000 thermometer readings, but just from the cold areas in Northern latitudes and mountain tops -- and kept the warm data. The very next year they declared the average temps were suddenly "increased" and global warming was occurring. The fraud only got much worse from there. I hope Russia and the Northern latitudes are not going to occur. Warmth is much better for humanity.

well, it's most likely because of low solar activity and a "mini el nino/la nina zone" forming off the californian coast which used to be only in south america that affects regions in the equator and is now disrupting the climate pattern of regions above the tropic of cancer

Al Gore will be discovered under a 30 foot snow drift in the Spring of 2011 entombed in his limo after it skidded off the road in Tennessee. He will be clutching a copy of "An Inconvenient Truth" with a very puzzled expression on his face.

Sigh... the next climate scam. That the Gulf Stream rules Europes weather is old science, and it will probably take several years before the idea is "officially" discredited by the media... plenty of time for the Climate Change machine to change gears and milk Anthropogenic Global Cooling.

I had a dream about this last night. Thinking of all the blizzards last year and looking forward to three more. Global warming may have been caused by Al Gore. but it had nothing to do with planet dynamics from a macro level. Word is that he had the hub all blocked off and the world could not spin. Ill.

I don't know if the Gulf Stream has any effect on the weather in Russia, but it has less effect in Great Britian than previously thought: "The scientists found that Britain's moderate climate is due not to the Gulf Stream, but to the Rocky Mountains in the western US 4,000 miles away. "About half of the total 15C temperature contrast between eastern North America and western Europe is caused by the Rocky Mountains while the other half is explained by the seasonal release of heat from the ocean," Dr Seager said. "While almost none is explained by the Gulf Stream." http://www.independent.co.uk/environment/forget-about-the-gulf-stream-britain-is-really-kept-warm-in-winter-by-the-rocky-mountains-597214.html
