Conjurers, animal trainers, clowns and acrobats from around the world have arrived in the Russian capital to take part in the international circus festival.
One hundred and twenty fledging artists from Mongolia, China, France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Morocco and America will show off their skills during the four-day show, which will take place at the Nikulin Circus in Moscow until September 7.
“The show will go on!” promises head of the festival, Boris Fedotov. He says that one of the highlights of the show this year will be Vladislav Goncharov’s circus act with lions. “I’m an animal trainer myself and I can tell you, it’s a powerful act. I’ve never seen anything like this before!”
The festival welcomes not only professional artists, but also amateurs. Once their stunts are effective and their presentation is powerful enough, they can join the magic of the circus anytime.
The aim is to bring together promising performers for them to exchange experience and creative ideas with each other. The festival serves as a springboard for young participants, helping them launch successful careers in Russia and overseas.
