Christmas may come and go, but the Festive Season's songs are still featured in many concerts in Russia. One of the country's famous choirs, the Yurlov Choir, has performed at Moscow's Conservatoire.
Titled “Our Christmas”, the concert featured music by Aleksandr Kastalsky and Sergey Rakhmaninov. Though the music of the two famous composers is serious and almost sacred, the atmosphere at the Yurlov Choir’s performance could not have been more relaxed. All the choir members believe Russian choral music has an ability to draw people together, which only added to the concert's appeal. Both audience and choir were united by the spirit of Christmas, the expectation of something good and miraculous. In that way, the performance helped prolong the Festive Spirit.
