Photographer Vladimir Shirokov has been taking pictures of many Russian celebrities for years. He works for international glossy magazines published in Russia, and now he has decided to organize an exhibition of his best works.

The exhibition features the photographer’s best pieces from the past seven years of hard work. Though he says he really enjoys his occupation, even when taking pictures of celebrities, who he says at times can be quite demanding.

“All the people I've taken pictures of have amazing personalities. With some of them it was easy to work with from the very beginning. But with some, we had to find a way to understand one another better. But it made the work even more exciting,” Vladimir says.

The celebrities also seem to enjoy being “shot” by Shirokov. Many of those, whose images are now put on show, were present at the opening night of the exhibition themselves and seemed to be quite satisfied with the photographer's work.

“I don't really like to pose in front of a camera, so when I was going to Vladimir Sirokov's photo studio for the first time I was not excited at all. But now, I've worked with him several times, and I can say for sure that the cover of my next CD will be made by him,” commented Philipp Kirkorov, famous pop singer.

Editors of Russian glossy magazines were also present at the event. They admitted that one of the main parts of his distinctive character is not about making glamorous pictures. It's the realisation of making the viewer see the soul within the portrait.

Now it's time for Muscovites and the public to judge these photographs.
