Russia’s Siberian city of Tomsk is demonstrating once and for all where newborn babies come from. Russians traditionally tell their children they are from a cabbage.
A Tomsk sculptor has taken the symbol literally and erected a monument in front of a city maternity hospital.
It is a newborn boy wrapped in cabbage leaves. He's made from silver painted stone, but the sculptor Oleg Kislitsky has plans to recreate him in bronze.
