Basketball Euroleague: CSKA beats Pau-Orthez 78:58

CSKA Moscow basketball club avenged their only defeat of the season so far by beating Pau-Orthez as Tau Ceramica and Barcelona have qualified for top 16 spots.

First quarter, Theodoros Papaloukas did what he does best, by feeding Tomas Van den Spiegel to give CSKA the early lead.

CSKA completely dominated the ballgame, in fact it was hard to believe they were playing the same team they lost to. 78-58 was the final score.

CSKA stay on top of Group C, having already qualified for the top 16.

Meanwhile, in Group A Tau Ceramica outclassed RheinEnergie to cruise to a 97-68 victory. Igor Rakocevic scored 22 points in that game.

Tau still lead their group with only one defeat so far this season.

Barcelona are second in group C and qualify for the next round after a comfortable win over Zalgiris Kaunas.

Elsewhere Fenerbahce Ulker and DKV both won.
