A16-year-old aspiring ballet dancer from England has been admitted to one of the world’s best choreography schools, the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow.

Natalie Carter will become the 4th British student to be admitted to the prestigious Russian institution in its entire history, which goes back almost two and a half centuries.

According to Russia’s “Radio Kultura”, Natalie took up ballet dancing when she was 10 years old.

One day she was discovered by Russian choreographer Svetlana Adyrkhaeva, who gave a ballet lesson at Natalie’s local dancing school. She asked the promising British student to send her a videotape showing her ballet skills. Soon afterwards, Natalie got an invitation to join the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in the Russian capital.
