Top Australian jockey, Chris Munce, has been found guilty of trading tips by a Hong Kong court and jailed for 30 months. An investigation found Munce had been supplying tips to middlemen, in return for help in placing bets on races.

The Australian was caught in an anti-corruption sting last July with $32,000 worth of local currency and a purported betting slip stuffed into his jeans pockets.
The 37-year-old had obviously not expected to receive a custodial sentence, having accepted rides in Australia for Friday and Saturday.
