Muscovites and visitors alike have the chance to look at Moscow’s architecture from another angle thanks to free excursions, organized by major architectural bureaus, around the city’s most significant buildings.
The “Days of architecture” event in Moscow, already in its third year, has proven to be a very popular event for the city’s residents and guests. The project itself is a set of excursions around the city’s architectural heritage – both old and new.
Bus, bicycle and pedestrian visits are free of charge – so anyone can join. The festival has kicked off under the theme “Energy of architects against the global crisis”. The program of the festival includes visits to the leading architectural bureaus of Moscow where visitors can learn about the most significant projects of the last year.
By seeing the industrial, soviet and contemporary architectural heritage in a new light, the spectators will likely change their view of the city. The events are conducted by professional architects, who will talk about their own projects as well as the history of architecture.
