American choir sings at Moscow Conservatoire

Gilbert Seeley, a famous conductor and a leader of the “Repertory Singers” choir from Portland, Oregon, USA, gave a performance in Moscow as part of cultural exchange programme which brings together choirs from Moscow and America's West C

The “Repertory singers”  are one of America's most popular ensemles. It consists of 60 singers who are not professionals, but amateurs. However, they tour around the U.S. and release CDs.

Their concert programme in Moscow consisted of some musical pieces performed “a capella” i.e. without any accompaniment. The second part of the concert was dedicated to modern compositions – jazz, rhythm-n-blues, and extracts from Broadway musicals.
