The artwork of craftsmen from the Russian Republic of Altay has been put on display at Moscow’s Pushkin Museum. Among the highlights are exceptional items made of semi-precious stones.

One of the most eye-catching exhibits is the large vase called “The Queen of Vase”. It took craftsmen 25 years to make it.

Experts say that it is impossible to create its replica even now using modern technologies.

Part of the exhibition is dedicated to painting of the Altay artists. They portray the picturesque landscapes of the region.

Experts say that it is the most comprehensive collection of the Altay art that has ever taken place in Moscow.
