Clowns are usually seen as street or circus entertainment, but sometimes they pop up in a theatre. This time, on the stage of Moscow's Young Spectator Theatre, which has become home for the 8th annual “Planet of the Clowns” festival.
For a week the jokers attempted to win the audience and jury's sympathy with a whole variety of acts, ranging from those with decades-long history, to ones previously unseen.
Well-known groups from Moscow and St Petersburg, such as the “Litsedei” and “Clown-Girls” were accompanied by actors from all across Russia and Ukraine.
