Guys! Please! I was a complete true Christian for 40 whole years! What happened??? I actually sat down and really read the actual Holy Bible! Lots of ugly stuff in there. The god in our bible killed a lot of innocent people, said slavery was cool, and that we can kill woman and children for different reasons! BUT, HE LOVES US!???? I then started thinking of all the other gods people from around the world believed in or still believe in. 100's of different gods! I figured if I was born in a non-Christian country then I'd probably believe in a different god than the Judeo-Christian one. Think of all of the gods that have been proven not to be true? Zeus, Thor, Isis, etc... Why do most of the super highly educated scientists (98 %!!!) KNOW for sure evolution is true and happened? Ask yourself now? ASK YOURSELF??? Why do they? How do they know? Because they went to college and got educated about it. We did not! We don't realize that evolution did happen and we simply reject it because we are lazy and simply ignorant to the entire subject. Ask yourself what makes more sense? That you believe in a book of supernatural stuff written thousands of years ago by men that still thought the earth was flat, didn't understand weather, tectonic plates, etc. or shouldn't we trust our science people with all this education that they have? A phrase that is repeated frequently in the Bible is the reference to "mankind', such as, " For the sins of mankind...", The laws for all mankind....,etc. The Bible is God's guide and rulebook for mankind. We are urged to read it and abide by the truths found in it especially when relating to each other. To believe that we (mankind) are alone in this universe that God created is ridiculus. God never stated that we are alone in this universe just that this book is for mankind. That is an old story that the Catholic church wants to come up with, of course that aliens are our brothers. Are we that naive to think we are the only intelligent beings in the known universe. I agree that the bible has been used as a means of control to help develop society. What people need to realize is that those in power always have an agenda. I'm not saying that Jesus didnt exist. I believe that he was a person with very special gifts and abilities to harness and control energies to perform miracles. What bothers me is that most people are so brainwashed they dont understand that we all have the potential to do the things Jesus did and more. Everything is possible!
