Ak Bars best in Europe

Russia's Ak Bars from Kazan have won the hockey European Champions Cup in St. Petersburg. Captained by Alexei Morozov, who also became the tournament’s MVP, they defeated Finland’s HPK convincingly 6-0.

In the final Alexei Morozov scored one of the 6 goals and assisted once.

This victory was the third in a row for Russian hockey clubs at this tournament. Dynamo Moscow won the cup in 2006 whilst two years ago Avangard from Omsk had claimed the trophy.
