Christmas spirit is not limited to the church. Hundreds turned out for a hot air balloon demonstration near Moscow.
On January 6, the hot air balloon festival “Apple on Snow” in Dmitrov opened a new season for the sport in Russia. Although this annual event is typically held on Christmas Day on January 7, this time the weather conditions dictated an earlier date.
On a field to the south of Dmitrov, spectators enjoyed viewing balloons of different colors and shapes, and some even had a chance to ride in the air.
