RT caught up with Tom Cruise and Adrian Paul as they braved the notoriously cold Russian winter to talk to their Moscow fans.

Cruise was visiting the country ahead of the release of the latest Mission: Impossible film, Ghost Protocol.

With some action in the Kremlin featured in the movie, big crowds braved the cold weather to get an autograph from the Hollywood star at the premiere.

But screaming girls were not the only ones charmed by Tom Cruise, as his co-stars also seem to have become big fans.

“Cruise is a great actor – and an even greater human being,” actress Paula Patton told RT. “I never met a more hard-working individual. He’s an inspiration. He made sure that everyone would shine in his new movie.”

The international sex symbol proved he was no drama queen, spending almost two hours in the cold with no complaints.

“Moscow is beautiful in winter – we saw a lot of Christmas trees, and I went to the Bolshoi, which was closed last time,” Cruise told RT. “But I should definitely reschedule my tour next time and come here in summer!”

Another star of TV classics who made his way to the Russian capital was Adrian Paul, who played the immortal Duncan McLeod in the famous Highlander series.

“Unlike my character, I try to be a peaceful bad man,” Adrian Paul told RT. “There are times when it changes – but beheading is a rather drastic finish to life anyway.”
