Musicians and dancers from the United States, Argentina and Russia gathered together in Moscow to put on a tango spectacular. The international house of music hosts the tango opera “Maria de Buenos Aires” by Astor Piazzolla.

The show has been staged by Uruguayan pianist Pablo Zinger and the American ensemble “Seattle Chamber Players”. It features Russian artists, performing the music, while Argentine singers and dancers tell the story of Maria, and the birth of tango.

The opera includes 16 dance sequences, which described the life, death and rebirth of Maria, a woman from Buenos Aires, who is seduced by the music.
