Police say they have foiled a potential terrorist attack in the southern Russian republic of Dagestan. It is believed Victory Day demonstrations on May 9 could have been a possible target.
A basement full of explosives and weapons was discovered in a house in Khasavyurt, in Dagestan. According to police, a large number of ready-to-use explosives were found, suggesting a terrorist attack was being planned. The owner of the house has not been detained.
