I am convinced that foreign powers are playing role in this carefully orchestrated attempt to bring chaos to Russia. This is attempt to bring panic to Russia. Russia must never panic but increase the its security alertness but not give in to the haters and the terrorists. Long Live Russia. I come to this site to read about Russia and I am deeply sad to read this horrific story one days after the heinous train bombing.

Have to say, its getting way too often in Russia. each time dozens die. Are there no enforced regulations and safety measures in place? Here in the UK, everything is regulated from fire exits to the number of people a venue can hold.It is a pain but seems to work.

My sympathy to the families and friends of the victims of this tradegy. The same thing happened in a nightclub in the USA called 'The Station' about a decade ago. An indoor fireworks display started a fire that killed about 100 people. A firework also caused a small fire in the top of the Louisians Superdome during a football game. I love fireworks, but, in my opinion, they should never be allowed to be used indoors. Too much can go wrong.

The killing of human beings must stop. Russian birth numbers are down - so then - what better way to beat a very fierce people who cannot be (obviously) beaten into submission, DOWN INTO A LESSER COUNT, so GEORGIA can send in their degenerates? President Medvedev, Prime Minister Putin, Foreign Minister Lavrov, there is no new play in the book of empire: these indoor fire work tricks are not a new agenda for killing the young through the terrorism of just having fun. In two words: criminally insane. In one word: westward. Do you believe the agendas are "partnership/s?" AND, how do children who are killed indiscriminately with respect to partnering in the west's ideas of fun, feel, now dead? OKLAHOMA BOMBING of young children indiscriminately should have taught the whole world a very important lesson -- WAY back then! KILLING OUR SANE FUTURE is the favorite of those who call themselves leaders of the free world - this is what it says, FREE to do whatever it is the market needs for profit in the coffers who write the rules in the PLAY BOOKS, globally. What fun. In a word, not. TERRORISM SELLS and it also solidly cements future shock into brains of GOD in the world of earthlings, and it is the technology of killing for the fun of it.

I send all my sympathy and condoleances to the very unlucky russian people. Recently many men, women and children have died in avoidable tragedies. Is Russia lacking seriousness and anticipation and wasting to much money and energy to copy others. Just, try to be the best possible example by facing society's most needed priorities. Sincerely. Such a tragedy... Those guys in charge of the club cannot have much more in their head than a string holding their ears in place^^ How stupid can one be? Thousands of people are now crying because of them, and I hope they get a hard punishment (of course, within the law). One may argue that this would not have happened if Russia didnt "copy the western style of fun" (as one before me here would put it), and there sure are foreign powers that use dirty tricks in trying to acheive their interests in or from Russia, but to claim that some of them have organized this disaster is nonsence.

My sympathy goes to all the victims of terrorism in the recent train massacre in Russia. We in N. Ireland suffered 30 years of conflict that thankfully has now come to an end. These types of atrocities are almost impossible to stop without intelligence by infiltrating these terror groups. It takes many years to put these people in place before it bears fruit as happened in N Ireland. The other atrocity in Perm can more easily be solved by employing the same type of safety measures for night clubs that are enforced throughout the EU.The fire regulations in the USA are not as stringent hence the higher casualty figures there. .Belfast is a small City of about 300,000 citizens yet we have three safety inspectors visiting night spots to each weekend to ensure all the safety measures are in place and the premises are not overcrowded. I have worked in this department for thirty years and thankfully there have been no serious injuries or deaths in night clubs in this time due to fire.

I agree to the Sam's comment. But the problem here, in Russia is more like an absence of safety culture. Which leads us to another problem, the mentality. There may be lot of words said but it's all about of phrase "noone cares of nothing even itself". So there's many problems could be determined but most of them lead us again to this strange unconcern. This is what really horrifying me.

Some of the images of this horrific accident is hard to watch. I beg for Russia Today to exercise discretion and remove some of these horrific images. This is not to deny the horrific reality that over a hundred people have been burnt alive or were killed by smoke inhalation. What is needed is incidence such as this one must be avoided in the future. My deepest condolence to the families of the dead and the wounded.

My sympathy and prayers are for the families of those who were killed and injured in this fire. Also, prayers for those who fight to live in burn units of various hospitals - it is a painful life they will have for a few months or possibly years. The organizers of this party who allowed fireworks inside - they deserve long prison time. But they are already suffering, because it was their friends and family who died in the fire. A tragedy for everybody.

Human life, especially that of the ordinary citizen seems cheap in Russia. Corruption and backhanded officials are rife - yet where are the professional licensing or fire authority? My condolences to all involved.

I woulds like to echo Sam's comments. Here in the UK the Tory party has been getting on its high horse about unnecessary health and safety regulations but, while undoubtedly there are some daft restrictions in place here, events like the tragedy in Perm remind us all of the necessity for tight regulations for certain types of event. We seem to be constantly reminded of the cheapness of life in the east in general and Russia in particular. My sincere condolences and heartfelt wishes to the families of the dead and injured.

First of all I send my deepest condolences to families and friends of this tragedy. As there is no evidence that this was a terrorist act and if investigation finds no such proof, people responsible for this tragedy should be brought to justice in accordance to the law no matter who they are.

Richard, It seems that this tragedy was the product of corruption but please do not bring up the question of the price of human lives as particularly cheap in Russia. Do you remember Hurricane Katrina? Over a thousand black Americans perish in that tragic accident- which was also a product of moral and polititcal corruption of the hightest order. Note, this disaster was predicted long before it happened. Since 2003 U.S invasion of Iraq, over a million Iraqis were killed and millions more maimed and killed in Iraqi for the simple reasons that their government was not able to defend them. Today, in the West, and in the United States in particular, refuges and recent immigrant and the poor died for lack of medicine and security. So the idea life is particularly cheap in Russia is not credible but Russia mustlook itself on the eye and ask itself why establishments such as this nightclub has been allowed to operate.

I was (still am) so deeply and profoundly sorrowed by this I forgot and can only hope Russia must know this healing practice: HONEY. The victim's burns can be submerged in honey as an ancient healing that works. Russia, I am sorry and my prayers are with every one.

Count Cash December 06, 2009, 16:28 quote

Life isn't cheap here in Russia, the families still do the grieving. Life is no cheaper here than it was in Hillsborough, Zeebrugge or Rhode island. Tragic acidents always happen, they always do, but when they are based on corruption and our eternal cultural recklessness. Then it truly is very sad. What is needed here is adherence to rules and accountability for not, plus the retraining of our minds to a safety concious one. Because for now, we still have the; it should be alright, based on our own individual assessment. It comes from looking after oneself, to the point you think you understand everything, all the risks. Until one day your ignorance both of knowledge and risk are laid bare, before the grieving ones. The root cause is one of a lack of thinking as to consequences and overly belief in prediction of outcomes. Mountains of Health and safety rules and regulations, are not the panacea for a safe environment or a wholesome way of life. They are just the simple profitable kneejerk to look good and deliver a comfort zone that you are now in a cotton wool blanket, safe from all ills. It is the stay in bed and you will be safe, until the bed catches fire and you need another rule for that. There are gross failures here, in terms of adherance to regulation (including corruption), in terms of materials not being fit for purpose and lack of a caution first attitude . These are the things that need addressing, the two former ones are easier than the last, the last is a cultural legacy for us, which is not without purpose. It makes Russians much bolder in their approach to situations, however, the downside is often tragic as we have seen here, if the situation has not already been secured by regulation and suitable materials first. So we are seeing action, let it continue, to get these premises and fireworks under control. Let's also start the long process on safety education and deliver on measureable improvements in the very very near future.

Firstly, my deepest sympathy to all the families & friends of the deceased...& prayer's and my thoughts go to the injured & badly burned victim's. This reminds me of Dublin's "Stardust" night club tragedy in the early eighty's where again there was a fire concerning plastic sheeting on the ceiling of the club & giving off noxious smoke to those inside, also, there was only one exit, so again panic like there was in Perm. We have learned a lot since that night of horrible death & burn victim's & how to deal with both the treatment of survivor's medically & psychologically & I am sure if requested the Irish government would send expert's like this to assist you, also, we have changed the laws regarding nightclub safety. There has to be a number of exit doors now & no door can be chained up etc. They must be also wide enough so that people can leave fairly quickly in case of fire without panicking. So, your government must look at themselves too, & not just be blaming everyone else even the club owner's for this tragedy. From what I hear your government's record in this regard is incompetent, with quite a lot of fires in care homes, drug treatment institution's, & other nightclub's with 18,000 death's a year. What kind of government allows that to happen so frequently? It's this total disregard of the population that makes me angry at so many death's there of your young people, just going for an enjoyable night out. Learn from this, especially government, then people like me in Dublin will see less horror's in Russia that remind us of the total waste of young life in our own "Stardust" fire. Now again, deepest sympathy's to the families & friends of the dead, & please God the injured will get the healing of God as well as the doctor's to recover & get better. It will be a tough road for you all in Perm, & Russia, but please I would ask that you take care of the survivor's in "Body & Mind". To Perm from Jaker. God's Blessings!
