How do you know this is not a fake wine? Russia's new moneyed class lack certain cultural capital requite for good aesthetic taste and some have paid millions of dollars in exchnage of fake statues! Still it makes my blood boiled that this money which belongs to the Russian people has been wasted..

Honestly who care about those extravagances. When will you stop kissing ass to those stupid billionaires. The respectable ones do not expose themselves in such a manner. Being rich is not a tare, but the way one behave can become one and the dumbest are those who waste their time promoting those "peoples"! It seems that some media really want Russia to be an other imperialist-capitalist state where the main priorities will be making money and abusing peoples. Sorry Future Russian Generations...JCM

I am sorry to say it but when traveling in international airports, I can make 95% of the time an educated guess of Russian businessmen because of their extravagance jewelry, expensive suits and basically flashy outlook. It is tragic;, shameful outcome of the decline of moral values in Russian since the nation has embraced crude capitalism.

The Russian have certainly adopted our crap values in the west.give them a few more years ,and their society will become decadent.if it has'nt happened as yet.

It is curious that while in the West the rich try to live a normal life and show of luxury goods is considered ridiculous, in Russia and much of Eastern Europe they have that image of the movies which is false and like to display luxury goods as if it meant they are somebody important in society. In the West being somebody important doesn´t come from showing a lot of gold or diamonds and that display of luxuries is considered Third World new riches. But, of course, they have the right to show them as they have spent their money on them. And if they feel better conidering that in this way they show to be on top of their society, it is OK. Only that in the West that is Old Fashioned, without relevance. In the West precisely the important thing is having a comfortable life, living well but besides your friends and neighbors, not apart from them. Money is just a mean to live well, not to tell the others "hey, I ve a lot of money", something which is seen as ridiculous. I think Russians will understand it in 30 years as they are still living from what they have seen in TV commercials and movies.

--Enrique I think we need to be careful in our discussion of Russian new flashy outlook-which I find not be fashionable or tasteful at all- and the old fashion classical Russian aesthetic look- which one can glean from reading classic Russian literature or Soviet filsm-or when can see when in the company of truly educated Russians. What we are talking about in this case is a new vulgarity- flashy fashion outlook of the new moneyed class- those who came to their wealth through dubious means since the fall of the Soviet Union. This is dangerous class that represent a source of cultural threat to Russia. One can see similar flashiness in the expensive outlook of the sons of African dictators and those from oil rich ME. I can even say that some from the West including some who work for RT promote this flashy Metro Sexual look for Russian men! This new image seeks to replace older Russian male image of the cerebral, subtle and sophisticated image of masculinity [the figure of the KGB, a man who is cool, calm and in control, who speaks many languages but he who does not draw attention to himself]. That image has been replaced by blink, blink flashy image of badly educated newely rich most of who do not even life in Russia! One of the Newly rich Russians recently claimed how he was awe struck with the sight of rich people in the United States eating hamburgers and drinking coke! This is measure of the aesthetic taste of newly rich Russians.
