So now RT wants to inform its readers of “the Paris Hilton of Russia” interviewing the internet loving geek President! I can tell you that the commodification of Russia women as “beauty model” is showing its negative effects on how badly Russian women are performing in women’s sports in the Vancouver Winter Games. Canada has 33m souls but it can choice 75,000 women to play women’s Hockey for Canada. Russia has 143M people but it has only 300 women who play Hockey but thousands of beauty /fashion models. Can we see the bitter fruits of the commodification of Russian women in the last 20 years?
