Israel: apartheid state or only democracy of the Middle East?

Israel’s borders are those of 1947, and because it is a bi-national state it needs the formation of a unitary state, like Belgium. This is the view of academic and human rights activist Professor Uri Davis.

“No dialogue between Israel and Hamas”

As long as injustice dominates in relations between Israel and Palestine, violence will continue, Dr. Aziz Dweik, a Palestinian politician who was recently released from an Israeli prison told RT.

One of the main topics to be discussed with Hamas Politburo Chief Khaled Mashal will be tackling the inter-Palestinian division and Russia’s support for it, said Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrey Nesterenko.

The UN court has ruled that Kosovo’s unilateral secession from Serbia was legal. The non-binding decision is believed to have implications for Kosovo and become a precedent for de-facto states seeking independence.

Nine years on, 9/11 jury is still out

On the ninth anniversary of the worst terror attacks to strike the US mainland, many questions remain unanswered, not least of all concerning the true identities of the perpetrators.

From cover-up to shakedown, 9/11 continues to haunt Americans

The leading authors of the 9/11 Commission Report are pushing for more security measures, including a national ID card, but given the history of the investigation, should Americans ask more questions first?

Bring the boys back home

The United Kingdom should stop fighting distant wars and meddling in global military matters. That’s the view of Kim Howells, who until last year was the minister responsible for Afghanistan.

“Part of US government and Congress lied” about 9/11

“There is a war in Afghanistan going on, and if what I believe in is true, [it] has been created artificially, like the war in Iraq: as consequences of the lie [about 9/11],” says Giulietto Chiesa, an EU MP, 2004-2009.

Having experienced a Halocaust on themselves, I couldn't believe the Jews doing such horrible Killings as this. I wonder if the Jews learned something from the Halocaust?

PETER - many feel that way. The Jews were terribly brutalised in the past, and this seems to have made the new state of Israel immune or blind to the terrible brutality that they now inflict upon the people of Gaza. The people of Gaza are being systematically 'ethnically cleansed' by Israel in full veiw of the world, yet the world remains almost silent, lest they be accused of being anti-semetic.

Hey peter, it's not the Jewish people. It's the Jewish government that is rogue. The Jewish people have no control over their government. It's the same in my country, the USA. My government killed over 3,000 American on September 11, 2001. Yet, my country men and I still cannot get any criminal charges brought against those responsible. And the American mainstream news ignores the facts. If the American government wants to attack some country or invade for whatever reason, the American people will only be able to take a soft position on the issue and be at the whim of the US government. The same is so with the Jewish media -- the media sleeps with the government!

The kinds of atrocities we are seeing here should never be tolerated. It would be so wrong to throw the blanket over all Israelis and say that they are all responsible or that they all support the genocide of the Palestian people. I believe many are opposed and aren't given the opportunity to speak out, nor do they have the power to do something about it. The media control and sensationalism is a real and present problem in the "developed" countries. I am grateful that there are still some with the fortitude and morality to bring us the truth. Ther are many things we cannot control, but what we can control is seeking out the truth, reading between the lies.

It is indeed a shame that modern Palestinians have to suffer for the murderous acts of their grandfathers......who began to murder their peaceful Jewish neighbors in 1920 for no good reason.
