Russia has demanded that the Council of Europe investigates Chechen militant envoy Akhmed Zakayev’s presence at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe session (PACE) in Strasbourg on Tuesday.
Ever so eager to please the West, the Russians are learning in the hard way that “human rights” is a flooding sign so that abuse of human rights can be tag on to one’s enemies and never on one’s friends. Now, Russia needs to think hard on its anti- terror strategy. But of course, Russia is all about "reset" and making business deals with the EU/U.S. Also Russia wants push for "the modernising" project so badly. How does PACE explains inviting this wanted terrorist to an PACE meeting on human rights?
Well I guess one mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter. Maybe the Russians should give the Taliban a hand to free their land from invaders just as the west did in the Soviet afghan war. I think the best treatment is a taste of your own medicine.
Well you have got spies etc, etc, just find him and finish him off.nothing complicated in doing that.no use talking about it.
"Akhmed Zakayev – who is on the wanted list in Russia on accusations of terrorism and other crimes – found asylum in Britain." I guess, nothing will be wrong if Russia will invite Osama bin Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden for security counseling to avoid next INSIDE JOB 9/11 attack. How about that?
Perhaps PACE should question him about the fact the he and his "moderate" government leader about how they planned the Nord Ost theatre siege with both financial and video evidence by Maskhadov himself endorsing it months prior. Russia’s PR is so awful and the government refuses to give any info no wonder there is no hard questions or even basic pressure which he and his cronies would be able to answer even the basic questions. @Sam When they are running camps and fighting with the Taliban, KLA, etc they are good guys. I wonder how that applies to Chechens that stayed behind after 9/11 in camps in Afghanistan or those in Iraq fighting US forces? Perhaps it should be who they fight rather than who they are and what they do. @Srbin The fact that British oil interests actually became part of the separatist government in 97 should speak for itself.

It is expected that west supports terrorist forces attacking Russia! The Grand game of Chess will be played to its conclusion. Names/Players and locations have changed, Munich of 1939 lives on.
