One militant killed in Dagestan

One militant has been killed in a security operation in Russia's southern republic of Dagestan. The operation took place in the city of Derbent.

The man was holed up in the city with another militant, who managed to escape. One police officer was injured.

The shoot-out was the latest in a srries of confrontations between security forces and armed militants in Dageastan, which sharees a border with Chechnya.
