Russia and Belarus to continue talks on new oil deal

A delegation from Minsk has left Moscow empty handed with no new deal for supplying Russian crude oil to Belarus.

Since Russia and Belarus have failed to agree on a price for oil supplies in 2010, from January 1, Minsk will supposedly get oil on general terms, which means full payment of customs duties.

Russian gas giant Gazprom has confirmed that Ukrainian company “Naftogaz” has paid in full for Russian natural gas supplied in December.
With gas supplies already secured, Russia and Ukraine have also come to agreement on oil shipments to Europe, averting any risk of a cut off over the New Year period.

I think it's not fair from Belarus to ask for cheap oil for reselling. Getting cheap oil for it's needs should be enough. More than that would be financing Belarus by Russia.
