NY governor resigns amid sex scandal

Spitzer has been identified as the infamous Client 9 in a federal investigation into a high class prostitution ring.
Irregularities were found in his financial accounts, including a payment of over $US four thousand to a high-priced call girl agency.
The prostitute at the centre of the scandal has now been identified. According to reports, she is a 22-year-old aspiring musician.
It's an ironic twist for Spitzer, who largely based his political career on targeting corruption and prostitution.
The political scandal has overshadowed the Democrat primary race. Political pundits are saying this may have a negative impact on Hillary Clinton’s campaign as Spitzer was a high profile supporter.
