Those nukes are of the implosion type which employ very insensitive HE that cannot be set off by fire nor high temperature, plus implosion requires simultaneous detonation which a fire absolutely cannot do.

On top of that, Plutonium is not highly radioactive and the metal would have drifted in the sea where the alpha emission would have been absorbed harmlessly by the water. Plutonium is dangerous only if ingested.

At some point, sea fish will become unfit for consumption if nuclear disasters after another continue to dump radioactivity in the sea.

But I don't see any armageddon end of the world scenario there.

If they can make drones flying in the sky, I don't understand why they don't make micro sub drones floating under the sea.

Instead of one large sub, they should make tens of thousands of micro sub drones controlled from the comfort of an office with a nice cup of coffee and a nice piece of meat to eat, LOL :-D

Instead of surface vessels and attack subs ... How about a fleet of hundreds of thousands of remote controlled intercontinental torpedoes operated from the comfort of the operations room ?

 Thats very true but a country the size of Russia should not be buying its military hardware from other countries. The world will be a very different place in 2020 if you let America buy it's way into the Arab countries; Obama has just agreed to an $800million found for the "New Democracies" it would have been better put as "New Puppet Regimes" as these regimes will allow America to deploy more advanced radar and missiles.

WakeUpRussia: I am with you on this and that is why I think those who promoting the idea that Russia’s armed forces use foreign made weapons or those behind fitting Russia’s troops with substandard uniforms be fired as soon as possible. They are against Russia’s security and most be removed as soon as possible.

Fire will not set off nuclear war heads.I know this i work on a submarine.... I would have been the 1st and 2nd stage motors i would have been worried about. There would have been minimal amounts of radiation from a blown up reactor and war heads. No nuclear explosion though.

This is why Russia is an impotent country that means nothing to the world community.  Their military is in shambles.

Just look at how the media cover certain sensitive radiological issues? RT just ignores information that doesn't fit into the RT Political Manifest, and then if it is presented in the comments section, they delete it.

If I was RT, I would be less concerned about censoring readers comments, and more concerned that someone has written to every member of the Duma pointing out that RT was silly enough to get caught censoring public information.

Hypocrisy alarm activated....Hypocrisy alarm activated......So if someone sabotaged a Russian sub, they should be put to death for treason. (and people here support this, judging by the comments rating)...But Bradley Manning, the U.S. intelligence officer who sabotaged U.S. intelligence operations, should be freed and given a Nobel Prize. What blatant hypocrisy. And then to top it off people accuse the west of being two faced in Bahrain.
