I do hope that Nikita Mikhalkov’s Burnt By the Sun 2 wins this year’s Cannes’ the Golden Palm. It seems this great film’s maker’s crime against his enemies is his love for Mother Russia and his close friendship with Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. His current film, Burnt by the Sun-2, is head and shoulders above many films about WWII produced by Hollywood. His critics are mainly envious of this great man’s gift in the art of film making.

The movie has not a single chance on an award. Mikhalkov's Burnt by the Sun 2 is his worst movie ever. It could be a good parody on WWII films, but it is not worthy as a serious movie.

Alex other great films such as Citizen Kane did not receive a single award when they came out. But today Citizen Kane is considered one of the greatest films ever made. Burnt by the Sun-2 is a good film. I have seen few clips and it looks good. I think, it is the film maker and not his film that is the subject of this vicious campaign.

Hey PR101 Please do enlighten me on the historical accuracy of Nazi pilots taking a dump on Red Cross ships? Because, you know, bombing them is not right since Nazi Germany follows the Geneva Conventions?.. (I hope this incredible scene wasn't left out of Cannes' version of Burned by the Sun 2)
