It was quite expectable. Israel strikes on the eve of Moscow meeting I mean. I will not be surprised if Russia will provide S300 to Teheran now. Tel-Aviv was pressing Moscow against that move and did NOT comply with the promises.. As always. More info on www.journal-neo.com

Israel marches to her own drumbeat regardless of what America wants. This is a fact that America refuses to admit publicly. The reason Israel behaves in such an arrogant manner is that they know that no American politician, from the White House down to the local party hack, would dare to stand up to her. Such is the power of the pro-Israeli lobby in America. Nor does Israel respect any wishes of the Russian Federation. Unfortunately for Israel, she has lost the goodwill and respect of the world and will eventually have to face the dire the consequences of her own making.

Shame on the Israeli government for the persecution of the people of Gaza. Shame on the the Israeli people who voted for that government. Shame upon those Israeli people who did not vote for their government but remain silent when it sends in their own military to openly, and without remorse, kill women and children in the hellish open air prison that is Gaza. Shame on the so called 'Quartet' who allow the blockade of Gaza (and therefore the starvation and suffering of the people of Gaza to continue). Shame on the United States tax payers who say nothing when they see vast sums of their money (ironically called 'aid') being sent abroad to help to fund the Israeli war machine. Shame on the European governments who remain almost silent in the face of Israeli aggression, arrogance, and violation of international law (lest they be called 'anti-semetic'). Shame upon us all for not doing more to help and relieve the suffering of our fellow humans, regardless of their race and religion. People of all faiths should realise that one day we shall all stand before a higher authority and be held accountable for what we do (and equally for what we fail to do). My thoughts and prayers go out to both the Palastinians and the Israelis in that they may both find peace and learn to live next to each other with mutual trust, respect, freedom, justice, equality, and security.

We are looking at more than a 1000 years of culture firmly established in the Mideast. According to the news reports Russia is the only large Country to engage all parties. Suddenly "The Quartet" has arrived but did they forget Mugabe and Zuma, were they supposed to be a "Sextet"? I certainly am not smart enough to have the answers, and can only look at history. Should the United States give their indigenous indians, all of their land back? Should England give Freedom to Scotland and Wales? Should the European Union back the Euro with Gold instead of "hot air"? Are any of this "Quartet", a part of anything successful? A silver tongue works well in an air conditioned room, but in an area where there are open sewers, etc. it is a different world. As an example, I can only wonder if Tony Blair could survive without a toilet seat, toilet paper and running water, or his beautician for a month. Is it any wonder many Countries in the Western World are being reported to be bankrupt. Well let's make Israel and the Palestinians like Rhodesia (oops, not suppose to say that) Zimbabwe, South Africa, Pakistan, Somalia, Afghanistan, and the list goes on! Good luck in the Quest for Common Sense, why don't you talk with Russia, not to them; a practical plan may develop!

Poor Israel provoked by home made rocket launchers sent by people Israel occupies into flattening Southern Lebanon and leaving 1.5 million cluster bombs there for the kiddies and farmers to blow themselves up on, and then poor Israel AGAIN, just provoked into turning Gaza into, uh, a Warsaw Ghetto. Poor, poor, poor Israel. Me, I am just reduced to hoping there is a God so some of these monsters and liers can burn in hell forever, because as far as I can see, that is the only punishment they will ever recieve.
