President Medvedev again has been spotted behind the wheel of an eye-catching vehicle.

This time, he test drove a Kamaz truck that is going to take part in the famous off-road Dakar rally next January. He took the truck for a 30-kilometer ride from the Kamaz factory to a local airport in the Republic of Tatarstan.

Kamaz is Russia’s largest truck producer, and has won the Dakar rally a record nine times, including this year.

Medvedev is something of a car enthusiast. Earlier this month he drove California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger around Moscow in a retro Soviet "Chaika".

Medvedev is currently visiting the Russian Republic of Tatarstan, where he has already participated in a meeting on energy efficiency.
