Aleksey Kudrin, head of the Russian Ministry of Finance, was presented the Finance Minister 2010 award by Euromoney magazine.
Hey Meslin It does ring a nerve that they are giving this to him, however, The IMF is the cartek. They do what theyw ant to when they want to. After Gore and Obama received the Nobel no one noticed. Its like going to Disneyworld and watching the Mouse. In the case of Russia, there is a need for less corruption, and more transparency The government is still in the business of big and medium business. So will we really be able to differenciate the truth from fiction? America is tranparent and it still had massive insider corruption within, its financial house. No boo who, but China is a one arm slot machine who play by its rules. They need to be held to a higher and yes WTO standard. The soft diplomacy rap or BS as we say can only travel so far, in any world capital. Your friend Michele from Montreal
Michèle. It is nice to hear from Montreal. One of my great love live in Mont Royal district, she was a hairdresser (this was back in 1967 at the Expo-Time). Your statement is correct. Since 1997 I go every year to Orenburg Russia. Everything is steadily improving but there is still a lot to do. Russian seem to be conscious of it...Personally, I will like to see a great association between America and Russia (it could include Canada). But it has to be a 50-50 business, not 90-10 as the US always impose. This will be marvelous for the sake of whole mankind and will allows to save a trillion $ each year on military spending and even more if we suppress those useless institutions like NATO...Think Positive ! It is funny how easer it is for the capitalists to butter-up Russian politicians and softening them up to master the situation as they please. Have-not they named Mr Putin . This is part of a plan to show the World how influential is the West. A few days ago the Nobel Peace Price was given to a Chinese dissident; because for those imperialist, China is more and more the "bad gut"...Mr Kudrin, you may be an excellent minister and do good for Russia; but please do not fall in such a sneaky trap. Throw that medal in the garbage; then work with the BRIC nations to build politically and financially an other World governance. The one in which we live in now, stink... Sorry Future Generations...Your friend: Jean-Claude Meslin
