The mother of the president of Russia’s Chechen Republic has asked her son to withdraw lawsuits against human rights activists. She said quarrelling with people much older than you is against Chechen traditions.

Well, well, what a pleasant surprise. Good for Aimani Kadyrova. If she still has influence to calm her son, then he is a better man than I thought he was. Even if this is partly a show for the media, perhaps the times are beginning to change in Chechnya?
