Israel gives credit to Red Army after years of neglect

The crucial role of Soviet soldiers in liberating Jews during the WWII has been recognized by Israel, after having played it down for decades.
Russia is still a disgusting, Communist freak of a country. How can they portray this as positive news when that same Red Army murdered millions of Russians and others? The Holocaust is nothing compared to this institution of genocide. And I would also like to know how the Red Army liberated anyone. Last I read of Jewish reports, the Red Army soldiers raped all the Jewish women released from camps and murdered plenty of the others. It is the same thing they did to people all over Eastern Europe, Germany, and Asia.
