Iraqi government flying a new flag

A new Iraqi flag has been hoisted over government buildings in Baghdad. The three green stars, which used to represent the Baath party, have been removed from the new design.
Officials were optimistic about the symbolic impact of the new flag, but many Iraqis are continuing to fly the old one in silent protest.
