On Wednesday morning a number of media outlets reported that Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had narrowly avoided a lethal bomb blast.

Throwing a firecracker at someone isn't generally something someone who likes you very much does, now is it? That said, I wonder if anyone realizes what would happen if Ahmadinejad were assassinated? The revolutionary guard would take over. And that is something the revolutionary guard would just love to do. It won't resolve a single thing. It will only make it worse. Furthermore, any group willing to use violence to change the government is in itself too violent to govern.
