Industrial espionage is no longer the part-time job of secret agents from spy movies. It is prospering in everyday life and growing at a phenomenal rate.

In southern California, there is a ski resort community known as the Big Bear Valley. It had two ski resorts, Snow Summit and Bear Mountain. Beginning just before 2000, we watched a corporate takeover of the community by the ski resorts, which included extensive corporate espionage. A local bank president (Dennis Shollenberg) was entrapped and framed to cut off financial resources to locals who opposed the ski resort takeover. Real estate agent collusion took over control of local properties, etc. If would have made the old KGB proud. They even used local law enforcement.
