Our relationship with India is built on solid rock, BRIC is the organisation built on solid foundations, all of the BRIC countries are aware of the western door to door salesman, who knocks on your door for a quick sale of a bad product. The western salesman only appears when it suits him, he is far away when it suits you. So onward we go with India, China and Brazil and all other countries that want an equitable world. Sometimes better not to answer the door! Other times better to play along for the conversation. In all cases, better to buy products from a reputable outlet built of BRICs.

Count Cash, I think you are being simplistic and very optimistic. In reality, contrary to its past great history of non alliance and primarily pro Russia political and cultural leaning, today’s Indian elite are as much in the American neocon camp as they are playing part of the emerging BRIC economic bloc. Obama’s famous state dinner for the Prime Minister of India must be read in this context. But Russia as more cards to play with both against India and China: most of all energy-which Russia must use to the maxim end of promotion or Russia and the world. It is pertinent that trade deals signed between Russia and India be payable in Russia’s roubles and or India own currency.
