One in three women in India is reportedly a victim of domestic violence. Few of their cases make it to court and those that do experience long and costly cases.

To say that 1 in 3 women in India suffer domestic violence is a gross exaggeration. No credible source is quoted and it seems RT has just picked a figure of 1/3 to make the story sensational. Obviously you have no idea about the power that women enjoy in India with strict laws heavily loaded in their favour. In any case, the story is a very old one. The BBC on 26 Nov 2007 and various others ran an identical story on the Gulabi Gang. A report on their achievements since then would have made more sense than just lifting and re-running a very old story.
