Germany has never truly embraced multi-culturalism. The rhetorical war on multi-culturalism fits well with Germany’s history of xenophobia against minority groups. Please watch 1934 famous Nazi Rally-the Triumph of the Will. It was quite interesting that at the moment when Ms Merkel declared Multi-culturalism "dead", null and void- she called for new 400,000 new high skilled immigrant to keep the Germany going! Where will Ms Merkel new 400, 000 high skilled immigrant-who speak Germany (and tacitly white) are going to come from is not made clear by Ms Merkel. When in the 1934 Triumph of the Will was made- the world did not pay attention. Now the Germany is ready to scapegoat its Muslim minority after excluding them for decades, the world is not taking note again. I think we should be worried.

Assimilation of immigrants is something the U.S. has done for centuries (millions of immigrants hav become "Americans", which means Anglos)...and also France where (Christian) immigrants have been assimilated for centuries. Or in Britain, or Argentina, or Brazil. In Brazil there are 10 million people of Arab ancestry, and 5 million people of German ancestry, and 1 million people of Japanese ancestry, and 20 million people of Italian ancestry....The overwhelming majority of them have been completely assimilated by the Brazilian Portuguese-speaking majority. Russia also has a good record assimilating immigrants through "russification". Really, "multiculturalism" is a myth.

It is quite surprising how many people are WILLFULLY misunderstanding Ms. Markel's message. It will be better for all of us to pay attention to how multi-culturalism has been interpreted before jumping to conclusions. People need to also stop reflexive reactions to anything related to minorities coming from Germany. Relax. This is not the Germany of 1930s, and the immigration has contributed a great deal to the richness of German economy and culture. And Ms. Merkel is clear that the positive legacy of post-war Germany is secure. Multi-culturalism as PARALLEL societies is dead. The push by some to institutionalize a new "separate but equal" cultural entities in Europe has failed. The focus is now on insuring that all citizens have German education, have functional understanding of German language and have no reservations about German laws. For those who do not recall the hay day of mutli-culturalism, just remember Kosovo. In that Serbian province, Serbian Albanian minority consitutes a majority. Western nations, Germany included, were aghast that Albanians did not have all the state services in Albanian language, state-funded university for Albanians only, and separate legal systems to accommodate their customs. To that end, Western insitutions FUNDED parallel instituitons in Kosovo, that is, parallel system of social services, health care, schools, and other insitutions. It was not deemed enough that Albanians in post-war Yugoslavia had all the cultural autonomy they wanted, newspapers and radio stations in their own language, cultural societies, museums, etc. --- all taxpayer funded. No, West thought that nothing short of full MULTICULTURALISM, a full fledged parallel society was good enough. This mutliculturalism may have failed, as everybody with common sense knew, but its bloody results are with us today. Minorities in Europe saw that as a model for their rights. Do not blame them, blame phoney liberals.

PR101, Merkel only has said that immigrants have to learn German and learn to live according to the values of the community which has adopted them. That is something every immigrant country in the World has done. It is not a question of color.

Enrique I think that we have strong reason to worry about Germany, a nation that has never been friendly to difference of culture, ethnicity or race- a nation which- despite its dark and ugly past- until recently restricted citizenship to some imaginary bloodline of German folk. This is the same nation that in these uncertain times- has decided to use its Muslim minority citizens as convenient scapegoat for the social and the economic ills of the nation . This is shame because few months ago Ms Merkel flew to South Africa to cheer "the Multi cultural" German soccer team that almost won the World Cup! How quickly has Ms Merkel decided that Multicultural was just a "real" problem for Germany but "dead". Germany is a nation that has not faced its ugly past—Germany cannot displace its deeply held xenophobia into its Muslim citizens because young Muslims are leaving out of Germany anyway. According to the British paper the Guardian, there are more young Turkeys leaving Germany for their homeland than coming to Germany. With the rise of Turkey as a new emerging economic power, perhaps young Turkeys can leave Germany for Turkey. It is clear that Ms Merkel cannot manufacture new 400,000 highly skilled 9white)workers! There are no enough whites to go around in this new global reality populated by "brown," "yellow" and "black" people.

The point that eveyone seems to have missed is the fact that last week the CIA bombed a house in North West Pakistan and killed a large group of German citizens who were of Turkish descent, these men had left Germany and travelved to Pakistan to train with Islamic militants so they could prepare to launch a terrorist attack in Germany. If you watch Utube you can see interviews with Taliban commanders who say they have meet German members of Al Qaeda in Afghanistan who are there fighting the German Army. Given that all this is now common knowledge I am not surprised that the leader of Germany has come out and said ok this experiment of mixing people together has failed we have to try a new approach if we are going to live together.

Britain is an empire on its deathbed. The British are trying to demonise Germany in an attempt to control Europe, as they once controlled the world. Indeed their failed attempt at the EU presidency – while not even adopting EU currency - was a clear indication of that. Britain’s history is one of colonialism and slavery. British politicians randomly mix races for cheap and skilled labour not caring about the long term social divisions’ just thinking about the immediate financial benefits it brings their economy. Indeed they used the “economic advantage” to justify slavery and subsequent use of indentured servants. Britain colonised many lands forcing their natives to live with other races (e.g. Fiji) creating many of today’s troubled hotspots. Throughout the centuries the British army, Church (Anglican) and media outlets have been moulded by the governments into propaganda outlets, fighting xenophobia to allow the spread of British greed and growth of her empire. Indeed the British Church itself was founded out of greed. Britain continues to disrespect for the sovereignty of other nations- as it did in the days of colonialism. BBC is the Britain’s mouthpiece attacking/ harassing not only Germany but also Russia and China.

People don’t move to other location in order to form multiculturalism but to secure livelihood. Actually all “locomotive-industrial-countries” are normally facing over-population pressure. Naming this pressure as multicultural issue in EU is actually only using Germany as carefully chosen location for political exercise of the irritant issue. This is the failure of Angela Merkel who did not find the new fulcrum of German identity. Over-population pressure is technically and politically manageable; however loosing identity is not only result of over-population pressure, but also much the consequence of long ignorance of the expanding Judaism, which is politically penetrating the dominance over EU. But dominance demands responsibility, which is not very attractive part of a might. In the used example of Kosovo, over-population pressure to Serbia did not make Serbs to lose their sense of identity, but handling the problem as being handled, made present Serbs losing the identity. This is political hazard or the consequence of incapable politics. The solution is to make open, public and free discussed the good side of over-population pressure and also what is good coming from inner side of Judaism deprived from its holocaust-pivoted guilt management. Otherwise, what will turn out would be that EU established identities would explode against both pressure fields. Hitting Iran with nuke in order to relocate the sequence of the problem is miserable.

Roger Bascom Was it not the Catholic Church and Catholic number of countries and the Catholic provinces in Germany which supported the rise of Hitler and the Third Reich and it was not Protestants from Berlin and liberals who voted against the new fascist class in Germany and was it not primarily Catholic countries that formed the evil European Axis in WWII? Yes G B was an empire but it longer has the power to enforce imperial ambitions.

This discussion evokes the concept of blind men and the elephant. Depending on one's angle, the issue appears quite different and with very different conclusions. Yet, the multiculturalism as a concept did not become the ideology of the West until well into the post-cold war world. It became the rallying cry of NGOs and "progressives" in the West, with the clear goal of encouraging and empowering various minorities in order to undermine the political systems. Balkans became a proving ground of the new world management technology, of which multi-culturalism was a key tool. Former Yugoslavia was not deemed multi-cultural enough, so WEST frowned on any attempt to form political party ACCROSS republics, insuring that each entity will embrace their own, nationalistic parties. People were led to "mulitcultural" break up by being forced to coalesce around their nationality. Once the civil war started, the job of "multicultural" police was to accuse the non-compliant of nationalism, and the favorites shower with praise for "multiculturalism". We saw plenty of that. The building of multicultural parallel institutions in Kosovo is a matter of historic record, so the idle talk of Serbian action or reaction is a waste of time designed to deflect the questioning of "multicultural" manipulation. So, Tibet culture is "endangered" in China, Uighurs as well. Sudan's south had to be "protected" , and Caucasian moslems from Russia. And they all should have their own MULTICULTI country. It has been well observed that a concerted push against Germany is under way. To my shock, few weeks ago New York Times, on the eve of Clinton's visit to Belgrade commented that the EU enlargement is endangered by "... the increasing nationalism in Germany." What nationalism? While German neighbors in Baltics have been given carte blanche to adore memory of nazi times, it is Germany that "troubles" some? Germans in Pakistan and Hadley are the same sort. How tiresome!

This Islamic-Turkish crisis in Germany has some interesting roots (I believe): 1.A clash between a secularly Christian society and a new Islamic revival. 2. Some of the new Turkish immigrants and their children think like the Ottoman and Moorish Muslims. They controlled Europe for centuries. Now they are back again! This could be another CRUSADES.

PR101 and Wayne My comments discussed Britain’s behaviour only; past and present. As such your statements suggesting I support Germany or any other country are based on mere speculation. Britain is currently disrespecting the sovereign rights of other nations. If Germany were to disrespect other countries, deceiving them into randomly mixing races so as to destabilise them, then I too would go against her. As such I do not support Germany’s presence in Middle East countries (dragged in by US/NATO), in the end it will not resolve anything. Humans are in the process of speciating, mixing races results in antagonistic coevolution which in turn leads to social unrest and in the long term to reduced economic output. I support those countries built on the natural law (favour speciation), hard working racially homogenous countries that act responsibly - whoever they may be, no matter their facial appearance or skin color.

Bianca writes that “German neighbours in Baltics have been given carte blanche to adore memory of Nazi times.” May I remind her that the German occupation • Contributed to Estonia’s de-population through 75% of its Jewish people fleeing the country – people who before, unlike in much of the remainder of Europe, were considered valuable citizens and had been granted cultural autonomy that they enjoyed nowhere else in the world. • Resulted in the remainder being killed by Germans, assisted on the margins by a small handful of locals who co-operated with German occupants. • Resulted in Estonian soil being besmirched through Germans establishing murder and transit camps there for foreign Jews. • Resulted in the murder of at least 7,000 other innocent people, including more than 6,000 ethnic Estonians. • Imposed forced and slave labour in Estonia, including of Estonians, and including the father of this writer. • Promised to maintain the permanent destruction of Estonian nation which Soviet Moscow had initiated. • Led to over 3,500 Estonians fleeing the country from German occupants, a large loss for a small country. • Ruined the lives of thousands more Estonians and their families by their illegal forced conscription into the occupying German army. This is calamity that Bianca foolishly thinks Estonians “adore.” The only even vaguely positive thing to be said for the German occupation is that the two Soviet occupations, between which it was sandwiched, were much worse – much, much worse. Having experienced the first Soviet occupation, and desperately fearing the second one, many Estonians saw no alternative to resisting that greater horror by fighting it within the context of the German military. Estonians recognise their sacrifice, and thank them for it. Bianca’s ideology offensively interprets it as “adoring Nazi times”. But to give her credit, this is not Bianca’s idea. She draws it uncritically from Russia, Estonia’s co-tormentor.

The choice of another controversial 'analyst' to endorse 'wrongdoings 'of racially diverse countries is very predictable. Keith Best offended just about every patriotic British citizen when he said that in Britain "immigrants are better than British born". He was a CEO of Immigration Advisory Service, the organisation funded by 90% of taxpayers money of £13million a year. Does anyone know why is Germany in the doghouse here on RT? I was under impression that Russia and Germany are friends, well, sort of.
