In the city of Chelyabinsk in Russia’s Urals region a schoolgirl has died in an attempt to pierce her tongue at home.
Her tongue was pierced, though, and that's what killed her.
So...they injected questionable drugs into her tongue, using resources readily available to 12 year olds, and you think it was a piercing that did her in? For the sake of the people who are searching 'tongue piercing fatal' to determine the risks involved in the procedure, you need to change this article's title. Stop being so sensationalist, or if not, then realize that preadolescents with handy access to 'ampules' of hospital-grade medicines makes for a far better headline than something that is absolute fallacy, and almost entirely unrelated to the story you have written about!
Dan, Read the story. It said her tongue was never pierced. It was the drugs that killed her not the piercing.
Lydocaine is not the drug it's painkiller, Some people are allergic to lydocaine and injecting 2 ampules of it can be lethal that's why she diedpiercing something cannot kill someone I think D:
Uh yea the drugs killed her, not the piercing. She didn't even get a piercing.

This should be "Anesthetic kills Russian schoolgirl". Since she never actually had the piercing it never killed her.
